Garden Drawing 1 and the drawing that followed: Garden Drawing 2, use an enormous range of media, which includes indian ink applied with pen and brush, soft graphite, charcoal, white chalk and deeply incised scratching. These drawings aimed to simplify the complex colour painting technique of Finger-painted Garden by limiting the marks within each shape - which I nearly achieved.Comments or questions regarding this site/ john.hicks@waitrose.com
